Attendance
The Attendance section allows you to monitor your child's school attendance and identify any patterns or concerns.
Accessing Attendance
- Click "Attendance" in the sidebar navigation
- Select a child (if multiple)
- View attendance records

Attendance Overview
Summary Statistics
At the top, see:
- Total days - School days in the term
- Days present - Days attended
- Days absent - Days missed
- Attendance rate - Percentage
Status Types

WARNING
Most schools require minimum attendance (75-80%). Low attendance can affect grades and progression.
Attendance Alerts
Notifications
You'll be notified when:
- Your child is marked absent
- Your child arrives late
- Attendance drops below threshold
- Multiple consecutive absences
Threshold Alerts
Receive warnings when:
- Attendance falls below school requirement
- Pattern of absences detected
- Action may be needed
Excused Absences
Legitimate Absences
Some absences may be excused:
- Medical appointments
- Family emergencies
- Religious observances
- School-approved activities
Documenting Absences
To excuse an absence:
- Contact the school
- Provide documentation (doctor's note, etc.)
- School marks as excused
- May not count against attendance rate
