The Grades section allows you to view and track your child's academic performance across all subjects.

Accessing Grades

  1. Click "Grades" in the sidebar navigation
  2. Select a child (if multiple)
  3. View grades

Current Term Grades

View all subjects:

  • Subject name
  • Current grade/percentage
  • Letter grade
  • Teacher name
  • Last updated

Performance Summary

At a glance:

  • Overall GPA/average
  • Performance trend
  • Highest performing subject
  • Subject needing attention

Understanding Grades

Grade Breakdown

Click on a subject to see:

  • Assignment grades
  • Test/quiz scores
  • Exam results
  • Participation grades
  • How each contributes to final grade

Grade Scale

Tracking Progress

View how grades change over time:

  • Line charts showing progression
  • Compare across terms
  • Identify patterns

Historical Grades

View past terms:

  1. Select term/semester
  2. View grades from that period
  3. Compare with current performance

Filtering and Sorting

View Options

Organize grades by:

  • Subject
  • Date (most recent)
  • Grade (highest to lowest)
  • Category (tests, assignments)

Term Selection

View specific periods:

  • Current term
  • Previous terms
  • Full academic year

Grade Notifications

Automatic Alerts

Receive notifications when:

  • New grades are posted
  • Grades drop below threshold
  • Progress reports available
  • Missing assignments

Downloading Grades

Export Options

  1. Click "Download" or "Export"
  2. Select format (PDF or Excel)
  3. Choose date range
  4. Download

Supporting Your Child

Interpreting Grades

When reviewing grades:

  • Look at trends, not just single grades
  • Note which subjects need support
  • Celebrate improvements
  • Discuss challenges constructively

Taking Action

If grades concern you:
