Classes

The Classes section allows you to create, configure, and manage all classes and sections in your school.

Accessing Classes

  1. Click "Classes" in the sidebar navigation
  2. View all classes

Classes main page

Classes Overview

Class List

View all classes:

  • Class name
  • Grade level
  • Section (if applicable)
  • Number of students
  • Assigned teachers
  • Status

Organization

Classes are typically organized by:

  • Grade level (Grade 1, Grade 2, etc.)
  • Section (A, B, C)
  • Academic year

Creating Classes

Adding a New Class

  1. Click "Add Class"
  2. Fill in class details
  3. Assign teachers
  4. Configure settings
  5. Save

Assigning Teachers

For each class:

  • Assign class teacher (homeroom)
  • Assign subject teachers
  • Set teacher schedule

Managing Classes

Editing a Class

  1. Find the class
  2. Click "Edit"
  3. Update information
  4. Save

  • Grading scale
  • Attendance rules
  • Timetable
  • Subjects offered

Class Roster

Viewing Students

For each class:

  • List of enrolled students
  • Student count
  • Quick access to student profiles

Managing Enrollment

Add students to class:

  1. Go to class details
  2. Click "Manage Students"
  3. Add or remove students
  4. Save

Moving Students

To transfer a student:

  1. Remove from current class
  2. Add to new class Or:
  3. Edit student profile
  4. Change class assignment

Subjects and Curriculum

Adding Subjects

Configure subjects for each class:

  1. Go to class settings
  2. Click "Subjects"
  3. Add subjects
  4. Assign teachers per subject

Creating Timetable

Set up the class schedule:

  1. Go to class details
  2. Click "Timetable"
  3. Add time slots
  4. Assign subjects
  5. Save

  • Day-by-day breakdown
  • Subject and teacher per period
  • Room assignments

Academic Year Management

New Academic Year

To set up a new year:

  1. Archive or close current year
  2. Create new classes
  3. Promote students
  4. Assign teachers

Class Progression

Manage student progression:

  • Promote students to next grade
  • Retain students if needed
  • Graduate final-year students

  1. Plan ahead - Set up classes before term starts
  2. Balance sizes - Distribute students evenly
  3. Complete assignments - Ensure all teachers assigned
  4. Verify timetables - Check for conflicts
  5. Review capacity - Monitor class sizes
